1- 16oz jar Tejano salsa (mild or medium)
1 pound grated Cheddar cheese

Directions:

Brown the beef, chicken or venison along with the chopped onion; drain any excess fat. Add the corn, beans, and salsa. Simmer (covered) until stew begins to thicken; add the cheese. About Tejano products:

Salsa is the Spanish word for "sauce". Salsas can liven up any bland dish. It is rare to find any Tex-Mex style food without one of these accompaniments. Although salsas are Mexican in origin and relishes are a southern tradition, they have become equally popular. In Mexico, the main ingredients in salsa are onions, garlic, chilies, and tomatoes. Salsas are often thicker and chunkier than picante sauces.

Our family of Tejano products are still made by hand, using the freshest produce available to us in Texas, just like homemade! Our salsas contain no sugar, no vinegar, no preservatives, and very low sodium content. View our products here.
