TACO SHELL MAKER
Enjoy fresh tacos at home! These easy grip, long handles stay cool and easily open up to place a soft taco inside, close the taco press and fry 30 seconds.
Taco Press Instructions:
* Fill a deep fryer or a fry pan with enough lard or vegetable oil to cover the taco press. Heat oil to 370 degrees (F).
* Test the oil temperature, drop a small piece of tortilla in the oil and it should pop immediately to the surface.
* Place a soft tortilla inside the taco press and fry for approximately 30 seconds or until it turns crisp and golden. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
* Fill your taco with your choice of fillings: lean, seasoned ground beef, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, seasonings, shredded lettuce, choice of shredded cheese, guacamole...
Helpful Hints:
* The longer you cook the tortilla, the crisper it will become.
* Always use fresh tortillas that are soft and pliable. If tortilla have been stored in the refrigerator, leave out at room temperature before placing it inside the taco press.
