An exceptionally diverse
resale high-end furniture and consignment shop, Upscale Interior
Consignments opened
their doors July 2009 in the "Old Church Place" building
in Salado Texas. Why
has consigning become so popular? For some people, it is down scaling to a
smaller home once the kids have left. For others, it is the need to readjust
the home and furnishings to make room and care for elderly parents moving
in. Newlyweds often come in the resale shop to find pieces reminiscent of
the fifties and sixties. Of course, there is the perennial reason "its time
for a change"!
Molly has often thought a resale shop housed hidden treasures! When not
working from home, she would
drive to Georgetown or Austin and Round Rock in
search of ideal treasures and unusual finds. Somehow, despite her husband's
exclamations of "we have too much already!" Molly always found a perfect
spot in their home. Now, with a 4,000 square foot store in Salado Texas, she
is showcasing such furniture pieces as living room sofas and side chairs,
large and small armoires, buffets, high end dining room tables and chairs
while at
times, antique furniture pieces will find their way into the
consignment shop.
Molly has also adopted the principle of advertising in several town
newspapers in Central Texas as an ideal
method of moving items out of
her store quickly and drawing day visitors to Salado located along I-35. She
also advertises in search of items specific to her customers requests.
Therefore, if you don't find what you are looking for the day of your visit,
be sure to let Molly know to search for you. Over the months, Molly has
expanded her store and her inventory to include china, silverware, lamps and
custom made furniture. Consignees are bringing collector dolls, stoneware,
linens, flower arrangements, framed prints and oil paintings, office desks
and lately, patio furniture and yard art.
Upscale Interior Consignments accepts
gently used, clean and smoke-free furniture and interior items suitable for
today's home. Pick-up and delivery of purchases is available (with a small
fee).
GIRLS NIGHT OUT- Last Tuesday of
every month.
Upscale Interior Consignments hosts a ladies' night out at the store
with a program that includes a featured speaker - topics have varied from
make your own flower arrangement to furniture grouping to life in Poland today. Tex-Mex
specialties and spirits are catered by Mexican Food & Gifts. From 3pm to
7pm, ladies circulate in and out of the store. With an interesting speaker,
good food, miss Molly and enough seating throughout the large store, it is
indeed a fun time for all! Word of mouth has spread the news about "Girls
Night Out"....too much fun!
Benefits of consigning: we do all
the work for you! From picking up your "don't need" or your "don't want",
estate sales, down sizing, corporate relocations, we manage the sale for
you. Future college students? You'll find desks, beds, filing cabinets at
an affordable price.

Sunday: 1pm to 5pm
Monday: 1pm to 5pm
